Shalom U Ajodo

Granddaughter

Even tho I didn’t get the chance to know my grandad deeply, I still feel the weight of his presence in my life. There’s something powerful about knowing you’re a part of someone’s legacy, that their life, their journey somehow led to yours.
From the stories I’ve heard and the impact he’s left behind, I know he was someone special, someone loved in his own way, who lived through challenges I can only imagine and who shaped the people I love today. That itself is a gift I’ll always be grateful for.
I wish I had more memories to hold onto, more time to ask questions, to laugh, to sit in his presence. But even in his absence, I carry a part of him with me. In the way my family smiles, in the values passed down, in the love that surrounds me, he’s there.
So today I honour him. Not for who he was but for what he gave to me even from afar.
Thank you Grandad. I hope you’re resting peacefully and I hope you know you’re remembered with love.

Shalom
