Comfort Musa

Daughter

My Father, My Dad, My Hero, My Mentor.
Growing up under your tutelage was a great privilege. You taught me so many things that other children didn’t have the privilege of learning. My love for God today stems from you. l remember you teaching me about Christ at a very young age, using the Catholic handbook. This exemplifies the word of God that says; ‘’Train up a child in the way he should go, and he will not depart from it.’’ You didn’t just teach it; you lived it.
Growing up as a young girl, l never lacked the basics. You were always there to provide, no matter the request. Your principles and wisdom in life broke the siege placed on a ‘girl child’ Ajomi d’onyedega (meaning the girl child’s case is in the court because she will get pregnant out of wedlock). You proved them wrong by sponsoring all your daughters in their educational pursuits. Today you are the proud father of a professor, a global scholar of repute.
A man ‘helped” by God, you were outstanding in business and politics in all respects, both in Echeno and lbaji as a whole. Two weeks before your demise, you told me, ‘’l have done all that God expected of me. l am now waiting for God to give me my OWN reward’ just like Paul the Apostle said in 2 Timothy 4:8 ‘’I have fought a good fight, I have kept the faith. Henceforth, there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness which the Lord, the righteous judge shall give me at that day…’’
Baba, a father like no other, l have no doubt that you are with your MAKER. Rest on man of peace. Rest on, man of integrity, Rest on, man of Justice. Rest on God-made man. We will MEET again at the Resurrection. As l put this down, l am shedding fresh tears. l ❤ you forever.
Cafortu, your daughter.
